City Panorama

  1. This image draws me in through its repetitive nature. While disorienting, the repetitions in the cars, trees, windows, and graffiti create a distorted representation of what I view to be the history of the city. The broken edges of each stitched together shot creates a visual history of urbanization. The concept of the city being built up and broken down, especially as the truck moves farther into the background, strongly is represented here. It reminds me of a building during an explosion or as a wrecking ball swings as it, but the visual being not only fastforward-ed, but also rewound. There is an "Inception"-esque nature to the image.

  2. Awesome. It reminds me of the movie "Inception" and the way our sub conscience mind see the dream world

  3. I am drawn in by the disjointed layers which describe an existing unified landscape. I often feel the lens is limiting while trying to capture the environment I am in.

  4. I agree that this fragmented image of this street does remind me a lot of inception. I get the feeling that the street is bending unnaturally and is currently moving. the fragmented repetition of this distortion unsettles and intrigues me. Why is road bending and who is causing it? Inceptions preconceptions make me think that perhaps my own imagination is the cause which in a way is exciting because now I can imagine manipulating the space even more.
